What is Saudi Embassy Attestation?

Saudi Embassy Attestation is a crucial step in the document legalization process for individuals intending to travel to Saudi Arabia for employment, education, or residency purposes. It involves the verification and authentication of various documents by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan.

Process of Saudi Embassy Attestation:

  1. Document Verification:
    • Ensure that your documents are authentic and in order before initiating the attestation process. This includes educational certificates, marriage certificates, birth certificates, and other relevant documents.
  2. Notarization:
    • Get your documents notarized by a competent authority in Pakistan. Notarization confirms the authenticity and legality of the documents.
  3. Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Attestation:
    • After notarization, your documents must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Pakistan. This step verifies the legitimacy of the documents for international use.
  4. Saudi Culture Attestation (if required):
    • Certain documents, especially educational certificates, may require attestation by the Saudi Cultural Mission in Islamabad. This step ensures that educational qualifications meet the standards set by the Saudi authorities.
  5. Saudi Embassy Attestation:
    • Once MOFA and, if applicable, Saudi Culture attestation are obtained, submit your documents to the Saudi Embassy or Consulate in Pakistan for further verification and attestation.
    • Fill out the attestation application form accurately and provide all necessary details as per the embassy’s requirements.
  6. Fee Payment:
    • Pay the prescribed attestation fee at the Saudi Embassy or through designated bank channels. Retain the payment receipt for your records.
  7. Processing Time:
    • The processing time for Saudi Embassy attestation varies and depends on factors such as workload and embassy policies. It typically takes several days to a few weeks to complete the attestation process.
  8. Document Collection:
    • Upon completion of the attestation process, collect your documents either in person or through a designated courier service.
    • Present the payment receipt and any other relevant documents for document release.

Requirements for Saudi Embassy Attestation:

  1. Original Documents:
    • Original educational certificates, marriage certificates, birth certificates, or any other documents requiring attestation.
  2. Photocopies:
    • Photocopies of all original documents to be attested.
  3. Identification Proof:
    • Copy of CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) or passport.
  4. Application Form:
    • Duly filled attestation application form, available at the Saudi Embassy or Consulate website.
  5. Fee Payment Receipt:
    • Proof of payment of the prescribed attestation fee.
